Year-Round Programming

On a small island off the coast of Maine, being an open facility throughout the year is rare but important for community vitality and sustainability. That is why Waterman's is committed to keeping programming going during all four seasons. These are just a few of the programs we offer year-round:

Weekly Events

Community Coffee: community members of all ages gather around a few tables for coffee and locally prepared baked goods. (First Thursday of each month is on Zoom to continue connecting with our off-island friends!)

After School Programs

Waterman's is always working to make sure our after school programs meet the needs of island kids and parents. Through island residencies, Waterman's is also able to help introduce, cultivate, and support a love for the arts featuring kid-friendly collaborations with local artists and experts.

Acting Out! - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3-4:30pm
Imagine That - Wednesdays 2-3:30pm

Kids Night Out

Once a month, Waterman's invites island kids to take the night off from their parents and join us for dinner, a movie, and dessert. Consistent opportunities to socialize outside of school can be limited on the island. WCC provides a reliable and supervised hang-out making these the best nights of the month!
